Use our interactive eLearning modules and printable guide to learn about best practices in planning, designing, and delivering virtual events for your community.

Use our interactive eLearning to learn about best practices in planning, designing, and delivering virtual events for your community.

Inspired by the incredible work and creative adaptations of our community partners during the pandemic, UIHI created a Virtual Engagement Toolkit that aims to be a resource for urban Indian-serving organizations planning or transitioning to virtual community events.

Our virtual toolkit includes an interactive eLearning module that walks you through all the steps of planning, designing, and  delivering a virtual event. The modules also include printable worksheets to help you plan different aspects of a virtual program.

In this eLearning module you will find

  • Information on the Five Phases of an Event Life Cycle.
  • Modules that walk you through each of the Phased including: Plan, Design, Outreach, Deliver, and Evaluate.
  • Downloadable worksheets with considerations to walk you through planning your event.
  • Recommended strategies and resources for planning and delivering your virtual event.
  • Links to existing web-based resources and tools.
  • Tips for keeping online events accessible, engaging, and fun for your community.

Our Virtual Engagement Toolkit printable guide and eLearning modules are living guides, meaning that UIHI will continue to update it with new lessons as we learn and modify it based on community feedback we receive. UIHI is also working with partners to develop modifiable games to engage our communities in virtual space.
