Sexual Violence is a reality all too many Native women face, and little attention is brought to the issue. UIHI is bringing attention to it and encouraging the community to do the same. On August 23, 2018, we released a report detailing the alarming statistics surrounding sexual violence against predominantly low-income or homeless Native women living in Seattle.
