This user-friendly overview provides principles and best practices for clinical and community-based cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention and management. These principles were developed based on findings from a survey of Urban Indian Health Organizations and an extensive literature review of CVD practices in American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. The information in this resource guide provides a foundation for improving the delivery of health care for urban AI/AN patients with CVD.
