Through the support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, we launched a nationwide initiative to enhance public health infrastructure among urban Indian organizations titled Building Resiliency and Action to Nurture Community Health (BRANCH). BRANCH is a five-year initiative to build public health infrastructure among urban American Indian and Alaska Native organizations using culturally adapted indigenous methods, frameworks, and evaluation approaches.
This work is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under Building Resilience and Action to Nurture Community Health (BRANCH), grant number NU58DP006387-02-04.
Opioid Overdose Response
BRANCH’s Opioid Overdose Response aims to strengthen epidemiologic surveillance and public health data infrastructure to benefit the health of urban Natives.
Our goal with this project is to position future opioid overdose prevention efforts for success. BRANCH Opioid Overdose Response will build the capacity of 62 urban Indian-serving health partners to collect accurate data, improve opioid use surveillance, and increase the quality of data available.
